The first two weekends of November are a treat for art enthusiasts. It’s the annual Kunstlijn event, where comtemporary artists from Haarlem and its surroundings showcase their art.
During this event, the public can explore studios, galleries, and museums to admire the artistic creations of established and emerging talents. Let’s take a sneak peek at what’s in store for the visitors.
Kickstart your Kunstlijn weekend
To kickstart your Kunstlijn weekend, a visit to the overview exhibition at Kunst Centrum Haarlem, Gedempte Oudegracht 117 – 121, is a great idea. It offers an excellent overview of what’s on offer.
You can also pick up a Kunstlijn guide, including a map of the participating studios, at Kunst Centrum Haarlem, VVV, and many other Kunstlijn locations, or simply access ït online under the ‘Plattegrond’ section on the Kunstlijn website.
Art Adventures For Kids | The KinderKunstlijn
For the younger art enthusiasts, there is something special during the first weekend of Kunstlijn, on the 4t and 5th of November: the KinderKunstlijn. It’s a citywide art adventure, taking kids to various Kunstlijn locations and offering drop-in workshops at museums.
Through educational tasks, children between 4 and 12 years old get to explore and appreciate art in a playful manner. The instruction booklets will be available at participating locations, starting from Friday, November 3rd.
The KinderKunstlijn includes locations like the Frans Hals museum, Noord-Hollands Archief, ABC Architectuurcentrum, Verwey MH, Stadhuis, De Vishal, Kunst Centrum Haarlem, Ateliers Frankestraat 47, and Veerkwartier.
There is plenty to see and do in the upcoming two weekends for both the young and old at heart during Kunstlijn Haarlem. Enjoy!
