The clothing swap cafe by Duurzaam Overveen is an easy way to acquire ‘new’ clothing items while also meeting women living in the Haarlem – Overveen area.

Have you ever considered swapping? You can make other women happy with clothing you’ve grown tired of. Your closet is decluttered, it’s sustainable, affordable, and you’ll have a lovely afternoon!

The clothing swap cafe is open to women all ages and sizes. In previous editions, women have returned home with happy faces after two rounds of swapping .
There will be fitting rooms available, and tea with treats will be served.
rules for dropping off
- Between 1 pm – 1:30 pm, drop off your clothing. Maximum of 10 items, minimum of 3.
- No sweatpants, no basic T-shirts, no underwear, maximum of 1 pair of jeans.
- Clothing should be clean and in good condition. All buttons attached, zippers working, etc.
- Clothing should not be too outdated.
- Maximum of 1 pair of good shoes and/or accessories like scarves, hats, belts, jewelry, etc.
- You will receive a ticket indicating the number of items you’ve dropped off.
- You can take approximatelythe same number of items you bring.
Rules of swapping
In round 1, you can select and try on 3 clothing items. If there are multiple interested parties in the same item, discuss together. In round 2 you can ‘go for it’ again.
There is a 5 Euro contribution fee for the rental of the ‘mirror’ room, tea, and treats.
Any remaining clothing will be donated to a charitable cause.
