Starting 20th of December, the underground crypt of the St. Bavo Cathedral transforms into a charming Christmas landscape. In this festive setting, both young and old can marvel at magical Christmas villages.
Three model trains traverse 80 meters of tracks, passing through Dutch old towns and villages, Santa’s Wonderland, alongside Disney characters, and an enchanting Charles Dickens landscape.
After strolling through the crypt, you can have a hot chocolate and apple pie or emjoy a Dutch traditional oliebol.

Unfortunately, the crypt does not offer wheelchair access, and navigating the stairs with a stroller can be challenging. A stroller could potentially be carried.
