As a token of appreciation for seperating their waste, residents of municpalities can collect compost for free on March 23rd. By seperating vegetables, fruit, garden waste, and food scraps, both compost and biogas can be produced. Together, we contribute to a more sustainable future.

HAARLEM

Zandvoort

Time: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm

Bloemendaal

Address: Brouwerkolksweg 2

Time: 9:00 – noon

Extra information:

Residents of the Bloemendaal municipality can collect a maximum of 4 bags of compost per household. You can also drop off garden and pavement tiles here. As a token of thanks, you will receive free plants.

How many plants will you receive?

The number of plants you receive depends on the number of tiles you turn in. Here are the exchange rules:

For the first 10 tiles, you will reive 1 plant per tile.

When turning in between 11 and 20 tiles, starting from the 11th tile, you will receive 1 plant for every 2 tiles.

When turning in between 21 and 50 tiles, starting from the 21st tile, you will receive 1 plant for every 4th tile.

So, a maximum if 50 tiles per household can be turned in.

Extra information:

At almost every Meerlanden location, you can scoop compost yourself. Please bring your own bucket, bag, or container. Also don’t forget to bring your enviromental pass and/or identification. This might be requested at some Meerlanden locations.
